Felix's 1st night at home in Santa Monica

After 2 nights at UCLA, we headed home. We had a wonderful experience at UCLA Santa Monica, equally as good as the Portland in London, which we LOVED!

Felix meeting his furry brother, Hanky! Felix was immediately showered licks and hovered over as the newest family member!

Our cousins came over to meet little Felix. Hazel and Sadie were so cute with him! They couldn't wait to hold little F!

Cousin Brian with Baby Felix

Hazel Bean was darling with Felix and, after a quick fix, immediately started playing with Levi, which was so thoughtful!

Everyone has been so kind to Levi in helping him with the transition. He's doing well (with the help of a few pressies!)

Mumsey has been a life-saver by helping care for Felix, cooking for us, and keeping me company during feeds and frustrations!

Papa is also a natural; the boys can't get enough of him!

Felix gets his 1st bath!

It's amazing what little details you forget when it comes to your 2nd... how to hold a newborn comfortably and even how to give him his early baths!

Focused! It's all beginning to come back to me...

All cleaned up and ready to go home to meet his furry brother!

Felix meets his BIG brother and Mumsey and Papa

Levi meeting his little brother for the 1st time. He was all love and kisses. It melted our hearts!

Levi loves babies and is all about holding little Felix

He even talks to him in baby talk! "...ooooohhh, bay-beeeee, bay-beeeee...ooohhhh..."

Mumsey hopped on a plane as soon as I went into labor and met Felix within hours of his arrival!

It was so special to have her meet him on his birthday!

Through out the day, Levi kept requesting to carry him (which means hold him :-)

Papa arrived within 24 hrs to meet grandson #2! Levi was over-the-moon-excited to see him!

Mother's Day Weekend in LA

We had a lovely weekend with just the three of us, wondering all along if it would be our final one before baby #2 arrives (any hour!). We've been relishing in time w/ Levi solo; we know it will all change in a short amount of time.

We took Levi to our local Santa Monica May Day fair. Levi is a huge fan of riding the 'big blue bus' around Santa Monica, so we finally got him his own!

They had live music and this super cool, uber-urban-hip dance troupe and the band Ozomatli. They even offered 'free dance lessons' during the fair, which JWG & participated.

This morning, I woke up to a delicious homemade breakfast AND this very sweet card from Levi, transcribed by JWG.

When I asked Levi what he had in store for Mother's Day, he said 'the big choo choo,' so off we went to Griffith Park. Next to Levi is baby #'2s car seat being kept warm by Levi's cow.

All Board

Levi and I waiting for the train to start, wondering what' taking so long?

Levi slipped in few laps on the ponies, which is coming a favorite past time.

We topped off the day w/ one more 'choo choo' ride

We've yet to make it out of there without a bag of popcorn

Our ritual continues at Los Feliz cafe, where we indulge in yummy burgers and shakes. It was just a very relaxed day full of precious moments w/ little Levi and JWG.

Part 2 of our early Summer days in April

John and I finally got around to taking Levi to Petersen Automotive Musuem. Complete with the Batmobile, Dukes of Hazard car, and the MOST gorgeous 1957 Cadillac!

I think John enjoyed it as much as, if not more than, Levi! He said half way through the museum, "I'm definitely coming back and next time packing a lunch!"

Our cuzzies came over for some pool time in the front yard, since it was nearly 85 degrees at the beach today! John lead the children in some pre-swim stretches!

Levi and the girls playing a little volleyball off of the deck!

Levi studying the pool!

Sadie, Hazel, and Levi getting ready for the 1st swim!

Levi lead the way, with Hazel closely behind. Levi's a bit of a splasher, but Hazel got right into it!

Sadie finally caught a 'no splash zone' and hopped in the pool

The boys doing some casual life guarding

Warm bath followed pool time (we dyed the water purple for the cuzzies)

Post-swim & bath... 3 tired cuzzies catching some Letter Factory

Full tummies stuffed w/ pizza and frozen yogurt, now catching a screening of 'Tangled.' Levi's 1st intro into Princesses. He lasted about 30 minutes before he started chanting 'Cars!'

Snuggle time w/ Sadie Blue!

A Summer Day in April

Summer arrived early this weekend, and we hit Hermosa Beach to visit Steve and Abi. While the boys went surfing, Levi and I hung out on the beach.

Following the surf, Steve and Abi BBQ'd for us while we lounged about on Steve's roof deck; it was heavenly!

Master chef Steve, owning the BBQ

Alan, a college roommate of John and Steve's as well as his girlfriend, joined us for the BBQ the hot sun

Levi took a 2-hour nap and woke up just in time for Abi's homemade key-lime pie

After Steve's, we headed directly to our cousins house for another BBQ and wrapped up the evening by the fire pit

Little Levi was beat, but loved every minute of it
