Griffith Park...All Aboard!

We woke up to unusually warm January weather (even for LA), so John got us moving! We were out the door by 9am headed for Griffith Park.

Our #1 mission was to ride the Choo-Choo/ We did...many times!

The final lap around...

Complete with a conductor!

Fury Baby even made the trip and received many "Oohs and awes..." from little & big people!

Levi hits the slopes!

Laurie, Sean and Penelope joined us for a weekend up in Mammoth... complete w/ sledding, Chicago Style pizza flown in from the Windy City, Gondola rides, Apres-Ski, Penguin Room, movies. and skiing for the 1st time for the kiddos!

Levi being fitted for his 1st pair of ski boots!

Penelope also got fitted for boots!

Everything about skiing was new to Levi, so he was fascinated...

Levi learning to walk in his boots!

Levi took to it immediately, but had a meltdown over not being allowed to go on the chairlift on his first day out...won't be long...

We practiced on a Bunny Hill since Mama needed to stay off skis

I can't wait for the day when John and I are flying down the mountain w/ buggy (& V3!) in the lead!

Levi w/ his favorite girl, Penelope

We did the loop around the campground, and it was beautiful... warm and not a cloud in the sky

This is the kid spot in the condo. Whenever we have children over, this is where they collect...bird eyes view of the mountains!

Levi took Penelope on a date to the movies to see most favorite film, Cars

Levi's 1st Gondola ride

It was a special treat having Sean, Laurie and Penelope stay w/ us for a weekend!

Jan swim in LA

Even LA can be a bit cool in Jan, but a few grey clouds and low 60's never gets in the way of Levi and a pool...

V3...

I had my 21 week scan, and John finally convinced me to find out the gender (I must admit once we were in the office, it wasn't too hard to agree to his request). We did have the doc write it down on a piece of paper, and we opened it up over lunch... just us.

V3 at 21 weeks (completely healthy and already a good size)

Turns out v3 is a boy. We didn't have a preference, but I must admit I get a bit giddy thinking about Levi with a little brother. I can't wait for the days when they share a room, and we tuck them in bed, only to hear them giggling all night.... can hardly wait for May 17th...if he's anything like Levi and John, I have a feeling this little guy will be right on time!

Sweetness

This photo was taken by Papa Lyons and I love everything about it. It just makes me happy...sweet, curious little Levi.

Levi makes the Austin Chronicle!

We just discovered that Levi was featured in the Austin Chronicle (July 23rd 2010 issue). We were in Austin for a family wedding, and because it was 100+ degrees, we spent as much time as we could at the new water park!

Levi discovers his shadow

Levi and his doggy

JWG packed up the car to head back down LA, and we had to literally pull Levi away from Hanky. Best of friends....

Levi met up with lots of friends!

Over the 2 weeks, Levi caught up a variety of his little friends....

Levi with Ruby Baker who is sweet as can be (and, also one tough cookie; she held her own beautifully with little Levi)

Exploring Ruby's garden

Play date with John Enell, who's 4 weeks younger than Levi, and Bbig sister, Gigi

Levi with Chloe Coogan, who looks just like her mama Erica! Beautiful!

This car always causes little scuffles

Even Hanky made this play date (Matty and Tammy stopped by to see us all)

Levi wrapped up the holidays with John Enell's 2nd bday party at Little Gym

Baby #2 on the way...

JWG and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival for baby #2 due on May 12th. I'm wondering if he or she is going to be as punctual as Levi who arrived on his due date w/ 9 hrs to spare!

20 weeks prego

Little Levi is starting to wonder about my growing tummy

My most favorite bday

JWG planned the most special bday for me this year. Complete with a surprise overnight downtown at Inn at the Market, a visit to SAM to see the Picasso exhibit, lunch at Virginia Inn Pub, dinner at Book Bindery, and breakfast at Etta's. Most importantly, we had 24 hrs of just us, and it was heavenly.
