Levi hits the 1 1/2 year milestone

Our baby Levi turned 18 months today (GASP!), and I'm here to report that he's one happy, healthy boy!

He spends a good portion of each day at the playground...

and gives preferential treatment to the slides!

He's a quick climber and practices his scurry over and over...

He loves art...Play-Doh, paint, crayons.... keeps Gina, our Nanny, very busy.

When not playing tug of war w/ Hank or racing after his Dad, he can be found reading one of his many books (my weakness when it comes to buying gifts for him)

He eats 3 proper meals a day, peppered w/ favorite snacks to keep him energized

His car is his most prized possession (second to Hanky, of course)

Actually, he's not even biased of his own wheels and is happy to drive any car in sight. He's the smiliest, happiest toddler I've known (but then again I'm definitely biased)!

Mumsey goes above and beyond the call of duty

Mumsey's adventure in LA started off by caring for Levi for 3 days, while JWG and I skipped off to a wedding in FL.

She then went above the call of duty and took on our dirt garden; 3 days later after much raking...

...multiple trips to Home Depot, piles of sod...

...and a bit of reinforcement from Auntie Nancy...

Levi & Hanky have a proper garden! Even Hazel Bean is in heaven...

Just when Mumsey thought her job was done, I fell terribly ill and ended up in the ER 4 times, followed by a 3 day stint in the hospital (I'm fine now). Mumsey was back on deck shuttling me back and fourth, hanging w/ me at the hospital, and making sure I was getting the right care (oh and helping John w/ Levi, cooking meals, doing laundry, walking Hank...you name it...she did it).

A week long trip turned into 2 weeks, and she finally, on her last day in LA, was able to walk the beach barefoot (mind you we live 2 blocks from the beach, but this Mumsey was BUSY). Thank you Mama for being the most amazing Mumsey AND Mama Bear ever.

An old friend gets hitched

JWG and I escaped for a quick 3-day celebration on the opposite side of the country...Fort Lauderdale. It was well worth the travel to see our dear friend Jack get hitched to the lovely Hilary!

Jack & his proud parents (how stunning is his mother's dress?!)

The new Mr. and Mrs. Bernstein

The best part... (well almost the best part) Jack & Hilary are both Jewish, so the wedding was full of all the traditional Jewish customs which can make any non-Jew slightly jealous :) Congrats to two people who I know are meant to be together.

Hippity Hop

A curious Levi participating in his 1st egg hunt

The cousins stopped by for a stroll through the Farmers Market

We picked up a Texan a long the way and enjoyed some home baked croissants
Levi received a lovely new book from his Mumsey and Papa and it actually holds his attention for longer then 2 minutes (which makes me wonder if he'll be a reader like his dad)

We spent the morning enjoying a casual brunch and hanging out with our lovely Great Grandmother who's caring nature is infectious and our lovely Aunts. It was a very special Easter (especially for John & I)

A picture perfect day at the Getty

LA skyline from the Getty (funny it actually looks like a proper city)

While the family checked out the Da Vinci, Levi and I cruised the play house. There was no stopping Levi...

these days, he just goes a mile a minute....curious, speedy and smiley all the way

Levi couldn't quite figure out how all the mirrors worked, so he kept coming back for more

the tube room was super cool and is definitely worthy of a post on Babyccino Kids

I managed to wheel Levi out of the playroom and we joined the Texans on the architecture tour (truly fascinating musuem and definitely one of my top 3)

The best part of all is the beautifully, well manicured but fine attention to detail garden

We enjoyed our lunch on the grass, while Levi ran circles around the park. It was a very relaxing and calming day (until the car ride home...c'est la vie). We will definitely be making the Getty part of our monthly routine while living in LA!

The Texan Women arrived!

We are soaking up every minute with John's grandmother who is 93, yes 93 who flew all the way from Houston to visit us...

Thank goodness for the younger generations that keep the older ones going and going and going...Aunt Joanie and Auntie Betty escorted Anne to Santa Monica and we're loving having the ladies in town!

Levi has been spoiled with all the extra loves and smiles

Anne held her own just beautifully after a full day cruising around Santa Monica we enjoyed a delicious dinner out on the town

Ready for the Easter Bunny!

Buggy's 1st bike ride

Once he decided wearing a helmet wasn't the worse thing in the word, Levi sat back with binky in one hand and his blanky in the other and enjoyed the ride
calm and relaxed...2 hrs later
I finally was reunited with my beloved Pashley Princess

Half way point included a visit from Steve and Abby and a popsicle (after all it was 85 degrees)

and of course ball time. Another perk to like in So Cal!
