Blissful San Diego

JWG, LHG. Hanky and I cruised down to San Diego and visited John's Aunt Holly and Uncle Tony... it was a very relaxing weekend full of delicious meals and R&R.

John w/ his Cousin John Wilson

Super social Levi w/ his 2nd cousin Claire

As usual, Hanky was a hit

Remember writing notes for anything and everything? Claire couldn't wait for Levi to wake up from his nap...

We also spent a night w Dani & Chris, which was lovely

The best thing about So Cal

It won't be long...

until Levi's out on the board w/ his daddy

The boys hit the surf, despite it being a bit mushy

Time w/ one of my most treasured friends... happy, happy weekend

JWG's Birthday Weekend

What a weekend it was as one of JWG's dearest friends popped down from Seattle to help celebrate his bday!
We cruised the boardwalk in Venice...

and checked out the super cool, semi pro looking skateboarders

There was lots of surfing had

Both John and I were given lessons on paddle boarding (I'm hooked)

Levi watched from a shore, but it won't be long until he's out on JWG's board

Cuzzy Jamie and Hazel joined us for a long bike ride along the boardwalk

Ended the weekend with a Birthday/ Father's Day bbq at So Cal Holmes

Much needed R&R

complete with a smorgosboard for kiddos

and my new friend Christina, who feels like a very old friend (recently from Australia)

and the lovely MK, hostess with the mostess

of course, little buggy. It was a weekend full of some of our favorite people, activities and food. Happy Birthday and Happy Father's day to my darling John.

Holmes Celebration

We loaded up the car and headed North to for a triple play w/ the Holmes and Lyons crew. The weekend kicked off in San Jose w/ Kevin's MBA graduation from Santa Clara!

But 1st, we indulged in a day by the hotel pool

Hard to believe that little Hazel bug is old enough to be pulling Levi around in the pool!

Mumsey & Levi, who is fearless in the water so we had to resort to a life vest

Levi with his big sister cousins Hazel & Sadie who he adores (the feeling is quite mutual)

We live 8 minutes from these lovely ladies & can't get enough of them

It wouldn't be a party w/ out our GGMA...92!

Hanging w/ the graduate at Santa Clara U.

Who knew tying a gown could be so complicated!

Cousin Jamie...who's getting married in Aug to the lovely Laura (exciting)

Cousins just make life so much more fun

The ONLY time Levi's ever fallen a sleep on me since surpassed 8 weeks in age (post World Cup and swimming)

World cup party in our hotel room w/ homemade USA signs courteousy of Hazel

Next up: Kevin and Jessica's engagement party....with ping pong (Hazel and Kemia)

The opponents...Colin & Levi

Logged in a few hrs at the park. Thank goodness for my little helper Sadie who doesn't let Levi out of her sight

Jessica's parents hosted the lovely affair complete w/ Mexican food and champagne (my kind of party)

Lastly, we drove to Merced and celebrated Jamie and Laura's engagement w/ Laura's shower

The girls

Capped off the weekend w/ more pool time at Auntie Nancy's 'Camp Merced'

It was the perfect way to end a truly family, fun filled weekend with some much needed R&R, homemade salsa, 90 degree weather and a pool.

An Action packed weekend w/ Billy!

Billy Gibbons joined us for a weekend and spoiled us w/ his professional BBQ skills

Levi was a bit shy at first, but still managed to groom Hanky (btw, he gets Hanks brush out on his own time and cleans him up)

We hung out at the Getty, taking in the sunshine and surroundings

Followed by a delicious homemade lunch thanks to JWG

Billy provided us with refreshing Champagne (w/ the help of Levi). It almost felt like we were back in Paris... Almost...

Levi continued to be inquisitive in anything and everything...

We took Billy to our local Farmers market, and this week they had a petting zoo!

and a balloon man, so Levi was in hog heaven

We finally hit the La Brea tar pits, which was fascinating and very cool

Levi was more interested in running up and down the hill w/ his daddy

One of the most admirable qualities about Billy is he can fix anything-- while JWG and he fixed our leaky shower, Levi bathed in the sink. I can't believe how much he looks like a little boy...where did my baby go???
