Levi and his Art
Levi has really taken to doing art projects both at school and at home. Every day when I pick him up, he usually has 2-3 art projects he's made during "choice time." They regularly consist of ideas he's completely developed on his own. These are a few of my favorite ones...
This started off as a 6 sided box PopPop helped him make. A few days later he wanted to make a gondola, which stemmed from our recent Mammoth trip. He added doors, a bench for skiers to sit on and a cable for it to hang from. So creative!
This started off as a leash for a dog. When he got home he wanted to make an actual dog to put on the leash. We drew it together, and he cut it out.
Levi is an early bird and usually gets up before any of us. He is quite good about entertaining himself in his room by doing art projects or reading books. The other morning, he got out his colored tape and decorated his plane. He told me it was ready for the 4th of July (inspired by us decorating his bike for last year's 4th of July parade). I love the hot pink tail!
A Week With Messie
Messie came down for a week of sunshine, time with her grandsons, and a little R&R with John and me.
We immediately hit the nursery and utilized Messie's green thumb. We now have a variety of new pots and a veggie & herb garden!
The boys love the responsibility of watering the garden. We just have to make sure it's not watered 5x a day.
Messie and baby Gus Gus who's almost 4 months old
We finally checked out the Space Shuttle Endeavor; it was uh-amazing!
Messie was the guest speaker this week at Levi's school, and she read two of his favorite books. He chose 'Harold and the Purple Crayon' & 'Mr. Pusskins.'
We had such a fun week and can't wait for her to hurry back!
