Fun in the Hawaii sun and rain!

Majority of our week in Hawaii was spent outside, either swimming at the beach or pool or lounging about. Heavenly!

We spent several days at the huge Hyatt pool, complete with water slides, water basketball, and a lazy river!

Kevi and Hazel conquered the water slide

We spent 1 day exploring the island and found the most beautiful, secluded beach. It had a sand bar the kids could walk out to and swim forever.

Cousin Jamie modeling his size 15 flippers! Headed out to snorkel at the secluded beach

Laura and Hazel taking five from the sun. It was HOT!

Buggy was a fish all week and couldn't get enough time w/ his Dada and Mama

Sadie relaxing at the beach. She and Levi were inseparable the entire week!

We also spent several days at Baby Beach, which was just 5 minutes from our house and offered a cove for children to swim in and snorkel

Levi really got into building sand castles and learned the art of being buried in the sand!

Baby Felix joined in on all the festivities, but mostly took in the shade and napped

Typical Hawaii, we did experience a few rain showers that would come and go in a matter of seconds

This one was particularly stormy, but passed in 5 minutes!

We had to take cover

The highlight aside from the wedding, was definitely watching the little cuzzies play

The last night we spent watching the surfers at GGMA's condo

The crew

MK snuggled Felix most of the week and was incredibly helpful and adoring to him!

Levi is definitely becoming a little boy and has a wonderful sense of humor and always makes us laugh

We were sad to leave Hawaii as it was so special to spend an entire week w/ our family. As everyone starts to move around and get married these trips are becoming harder and harder to do!

The June Birthdays

As it turns out, there are a ton of June Birthdays in our family, including John! We celebrated them on June 20th (JWG's actual day) and had a full day from the moment we woke up!

We mad red velvet cake for John's Birthday breakfast! Followed by snorkeling w/ me and a yummy sushi lunch at a hole in the wall place we found on the island!

We celebrated the June Bday's that night w/ a BBQ party (Kyler had to fly back early but was there in spirit)

Felix celebrated w/ us too!

Levi dominated air hockey, while the rest of us sat around and enjoyed our burgers!

Father's Day

I was lucky enough to spend Father's Day w/ my dad as well as John and the boys. I count my blessing daily that my children are growing up w/ a dad that is as wonderful as mine!

What I love about John as a dad: He's incredibly engaged w/ the children, he listens to them, he encourages them to be curious, he introduces them to art, books and his hobbies, he cuddles them everyday, he's patient with them and he makes them laugh.

I adore John in so many ways and particularly as a father.

JT and Kevi get married!

Jessica and cousin Kevin's wedding was beautiful! It took place at the Hyatt on Kauai and overlooked the ocean. It was such an honor to be a part of it and welcome them into the married club.

Kemia and Colin made it all the way from DC and hung out w/ us for the entire week!

Baby Felix 1st wedding!

He slept through the ceremony but managed to stay awake for an hour at the reception. It was a very special wedding full of some of my most favorite people!

The Luau

The wedding festivities kicked off w/a Luau, which was a huge hit w/ all of us!

Kevin, JT (bride and groom), and Papa

The little cuzzies were enjoying the Hawaiian punch!

The dancers were actually quite impressive, particularly the fire dancer (no pic shown)

Levi was memorized by it all

The whole week was spent just hanging out w/ dear friends. Jane and Nick are close friends, who have a son who now lives in London (and is one of my cousins best friends). They're like family to us; we can't get enough of them!
