Sunday Roast with the Whites

An afternoon at the Whites is never complete without some healthy competition whether it be ping pong, football, or yesterday's choice of Mario Kart!

Serena and Simon always outdo themselves with a proper Sunday Roast complete with yummy pudding!

We even fit in the setting up the annual tree and decorating it!

The proud Christmas tree decorating team. Simon, Freddie, Felix (holding Milo) Sarah, Levi, John, Serena and Oscar! We will miss the White's tremendously; they've been like family to us. We'll look forward to seeing them next summer...

Everyone needs Hank!

I think it's absolutely true what they say, a dog is definitely a man's best friend.

Or a baby's. Hank never leaves Levi's side, so it's no wonder that that Levi's been calling for him since Hank flew home to Seattle on Sat.

Hanky made the rounds last Friday to say goodbye to a few special people. Meet Darren; John's account manager, our darling English friend and one of Hanky's very best friends in London.

Here's Hanky with our beloved dog walker Adina and his buddies Watson ("Watsy") and Silver. Everyday for the past 2 years, Adina has walked Hank all around London and showered him with more attention than I ever thought possible. Both John and I don't know what we would have done without Adina and aren't sure what we're going to do in LA...she's irreplaceable.

Ready, Steady, Walk

The walk...arms up (a bit monster-like, usually accompanied with a grin)

Still a bit shaky, but prepared to catch himself at any moment

A fighter....back up on his feet and in happy monster-like stance....

O Christmas Tree...O Bickenhall...

Our dear friends Andrea and David (also fellow Bickenhall residents) invited us over for a little tree decorating and holiday cheer

I was delighted since we didn't get a tree this year, and Levi was especially excited because he was able to explore a whole new territory and stay up late!

I must admit, the boys did quite well with the lights

Champagne was in order, accompanied by Chinese food from our favorite nearby restaurant

Sleepy Levi headed home

Our first and our last guest!

Lucky for us, music brought Matty and his conductor, Joe, to Austria and from there they decided to swing by London!

Our living room was converted to an editing booth for a few days.

It didn't take long for Levi to warm up to Matty (watching clips from this year's symphony concert benefiting Children's Hospital)

Hard to believe Matty use to be able to hold baby Hank...not anymore!

A night out in Soho

What could they possibly be studying so thoroughly???

Jamaica meets Levi!

Jamaica surprised us with a last minute trip to London, and we got her for a whole day! She flew in all the way from Kinshasa, Congo.

We took her to a darling pub for oysters & beer...and her first official meet and greet with LHG.

I never know when I'm going to see J next as we both seem to be globe-trotting around. However, we always seem to manage to pick up just where we left off. I still can remember meeting Jamaica when I was 15 at summer camp. How wonderful are old friendships?!
