Mikee's Back

Mikee swooped in for the weekend to see Levi his godson and meet baby Felix. We had such a fun weekend beginning w/ seeing the new Cirque de Soleil show at Kodak theater, followed by dinner at my most favorite 'special' restaurant in LA Osteria Mozza!

We spent all of Sunday w/ Steve and Abi in Hermosa Beach! BBQing and paddle boarding on the beach!

Levi starts Preschool

Levi started school today at Claire Fontaine, the little french school down the street. John and I dropped him via our bikes. We hung out for an hour and then left him to play w/ the other children. Apparently he cried for a few minutes and then quickly joined the fun. They painted, did puzzles and celebrated a classmates birthday! When we picked him up, he was eating a cupcake and grinning ear to ear!

Felix is a dream baby. He's incredibly calm, patient and happy and LOVES his big brother.

Preparing for Preschool

Levi picked out his 1st backpack this week in preparation for Preschool and he immediately knew which one he wanted and then proceeded to wear it the rest of the evening while riding his bike and eating dinner!

Farewell Summer

We took our last holiday of the summer this past week. The boys and I flew to Seattle for a visit w/ both sets of grandparents, and then off to Lake Chelan for the long weekend. We had a lovely visit with our Aunt and Uncle and Nana and Papa. It was the perfect end to a wonderful summer.

Mumsey and Papa bought the boys a used train set, so Levi was smitten from the minute we landed

The weather was gorgeous all week. The mornings were crisp (Fall was definitely in the air) and by the afternoon it was roasty toasty.

Lake Chelan is still crystal clear and is one of the most beautiful lakes int the world (cocktail fact...it's the 7th deepest lake in the Country)

Nana and Papa were delighted to finally meet their newest great grandson

Papa has delivered hundreds of babies of the years when he was a MD, so he took to Felix in a matter of seconds

Levi feels right at home with Mumsey and Papa. He's finally at the age where he's remembering experiences and people. It's such a treat to watch him light up around family.

A visit w/ Lin, a treasured friend

Lin and I met travelling through Europe 12 years ago! We became fast friends and have only grown closer and closer over time. She flew in for a weekend w/ the boys and I. We spent most of the 48 hrs eating, catching up and playing w/ the little ones. It was heavenly!
