Home sweet home...London

After my weekend in Paris, I headed to London to visit dear friends, check out my old neighborhood, and enjoy a truly cosmopolitian city.

Dinner w/ Kristi and Maureen was a definite highlight

Kristi's and Ben treated us girls to an amazing dinner out in Central London, which was both scrumptious and ridiculously fun.

I stayed w/ Kristi in our old neighborhood, Marylebone ,and had the pleasure of walking Harry to precshool w/ little sister Emily. It was just fun to be back in my old hood w/ a dear friend.

I loved spending time w/ Kristi's children. Sweet Emily could not be cuter!

I even squeezed in a visit w/ Rufus, who lives in my old neighborhood. Rufus rides the tube into the city every morning w/ his owner and man's the local art gallery. He walks from the tube through Regents Park to work every morning, so by the time he arrives, he's tired (it's about a 1/2 mile walk).

I enjoyed so many scrumptious dinners w/ friends, including Helen and Liz my old colleagues from MySpace!

I even got to spend a day w/ Courtney. I got a tour of the new house, and we gabbed about Babyccino, children, London, marriage...you name it, we covered it. We ate at my favorite Greek restaurant in Primrose Hill; time went way to fast.

Kristi and I spent a day visiting my favorite sites in London, including the National Portrait Gallery and the Tate Gallery.

It was just heavenly and incredible to have an entire week to just enjoy the city and my friends

I even managed to walk my loop through Regents Park, despite the unbearable cold weather

I finally met Maureen's son Theo!

Big brother Nicolaj is still as cute as can be. It made me wish Levi could have joined me; the boys would have loved to play together!

Christy and I closed out the week w/ lunch at Petersham Nurseries, which was incredible. I had always wanted to go, but never made it when we lived there so it was a special treat!

I missed my boys terribly, but it was such a gift to be able to spend an entire week in a city that still feels like home and be surrounded by dear friends!

J'adore Paris!

With the help of John, I was able to spend a week abroad without children, husband, or responsibility. My trip began w/ a weekend in Paris w/ Kristi. We stumbled upon lovely cafes, chocolate bars, boutiques, and spent majority of the weekend just catching up in person. It was heavenly!

Shopping in the Marais

Flower shop at Hotel Coste

On a crisp, Sunday morning since none of the stores are open, we decided to park ourselves on the hop on, hop off bus tour

Trying to keep warm in the high 30's air

Paris still remains my most favorite city in the world

Trains and Planes

We spent the weekend riding trains and watching planes. First up, Griffith Park Train Park (again). On a side note, it never seemed that hard to get a picture of Levi and I smiling together, but add Felix into the mix, and it's near impossible!

Riding the train...again. And again. And again.

I really think riding on trains is where Levi is happiest...

Felix appears to be following suit!

John took us all to the park next to LAX, so we could watch the planes land and take off right above our heads. At first it sounded a bit of a bore, but I must admit it was really cool!

We never quite know what Levi is doing!

Our backyard

While we don't have much of an official garden, front or back yard, we do live 2 blocks from the beach. Our walk to the beach includes HUGE grassy hills and incredible climbing trees with the end result a massive playground on the beach (oh, and the beach)!

One of Levi's favorite activities is climbing trees. He's super quick and agile. Definitely all boy!

We discovered that Felix fits in the swings and he LOVES it, which is so fun b/c Levi has never been a fan of the swings.

How funny is it to see Levi barefoot in mid-January?

A favorite past time of any adult or child...rolling down a hill!

Brotherly Love at 8 months

Felix turned 8 months and already has a best friend; Levi. They have adored each other from the moment they met, and I know it's the greatest gift John and I could have given them. Even when little Levi doesn't want to share his toys, he still keeps Felix just close enough so that he feels a part of things.

Felix is sitting up and loving seeing the world from this new angle

Hanky adores little Felix and doesn't go a day with out slobbering him with kisses

Both boys loves to look at books and can sit still for a good amount of time staring at pictures and, in Levi's case, narrating the pictures, and in Felix's case chewing on the pages

There really is nothing better then watching these two learn to love each other

Levi and his trains!

Messie and PopPop spoiled Levi and took him out for a morning full of pancakes and trains! We've been pointing out the new light rail every time we come to Seattle, and Levi has been begging to ride on it! Finally, his wish came true!
