Levi's 1st day of Pre-School..now a Sunflower!

Levi is in his final year of pre-school and was absolutely thrilled to go back to school! Here are his morning of pics.

Celebratory Toppings with Mama. On the way home from school this week, Levi asked me:
"How is the world made?"
"Why are dinasaurs distinct?"
"How are roads made?"

I'm sure there is more, but these stood out. I'm realizing each day, he is a little person with big, big thoughts!

Baby Gus Gus turns 8 months old!

I can't believe it. How is it possible our baby is already 8 months old? Gus, you continue to be incredibly sweet and easy (knock on wood!). I guess it's all relative. You weigh in at 22 3/4 pounds and are in the 95th percentile for length. Baby Gus, you are going to be tall! You remind me of Levi with your sense of busyness and curiosity. You started crawling at 7 1/2 months and haven't stopped. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this age.

I love hearing you scurry around the corner on your hands and knees.
I especially love your open mouth kisses you're starting to give me.
I love watching you smile and laugh with your big brothers; you are just itching to be a part of the madness.
I love it when I pick you up, and your frog legs just start swimming in mid-air
I can't get enough of watching you hold your own in the bath with Felix and Levi

All of it makes me so happy. I want to freeze time. You're sleeping from about 7pm to 6:30am which feels like a real feat. You're a good eater and have a hankering for anything sweet. I have noticed you're particular about who holds you. Baby Gus, you are also extremely chatty. I love hearing you say mmmmmaaama and dadddaaddaa; it's heaven. Despite the craziness, I still wouldn't have it any other way. Here are some of my favorite pics of you these past few weeks.

Hanging with Messie and Papa in LA!

Messie and Papa visited for a week. We spent most of the time hanging out, enjoying the boys, and soaking up the sun. Sadly, I didn't take many pictures, so I will have to double up on the next visit!

Summer Time in Seattle

We decided to take the train to Seattle from Portland. In theory it seemed like a good idea until we realized people who ride the train enjoy reading, sleeping....not 3 little monkeys bouncing around. Baby Gus finally crashed, but it wasn't after a long stretch of entertainment put on by us. I think John's face says it all. The good news is the boys remember the train trip fondly, and isn't that all that matters?

We spent a lot of time at the parks around Messie and Papa's house

Cousins Xander and Lily were also in town, so the boys got their cousin fix. This is right after Levi clocked Felix. :(

Lunch date at Kidd Valley

Picking blueberries at GGMa's house, a favorite past time of mine, and the boys quickly caught on

The joys of being a boy

Felix wearing my life jacket from when I was a little girl!

Scouring for flat rocks at GGma's beach

The boys LOVED the lake, which I was a bit suprise by because they are more familiar with pools and beaches

A monumental jump off GGma's dock since the house is on the market
