Memorial weekend in Palm Springs

We headed to Palm Springs for a relaxing weekend with the Mihal Family, eager to swim, eat, and relax (as much as one can with 4 little children!)

Penelope and Levi were their usual busy, happy selves...doing puzzles, playing cars, catching beatles, and swimming!

Every morning Hanky, Felix, and I went for a peaceful walk in the cooler weather (definite highlight of the weekend)

We took the children up Mt. San Jacinto's Arial Tram. Levi LOVED it

The children loved the Palm Springs Zoo, complete with a very cool merry-go-round

however Levi's highlight of the Zoo was the massive train set up. We of course saw it at the very beginning of the trip so we didn't see a ton of animals...

Majority of the weekend was spent in the pool, which we kept at a mere 80 degrees

The highlight of the weekend was watching the children swim. After lots of lessons & practice, Levi graduated to swimming solo without any float device!

Levi had been begging for a bike with pedals. Since he had proven his love cycling on his 'Like Bike' and wanted to graduate to peddles, we headed to Sports Chalet with Grandad and picked out a NEW bike! 

Levi was most concerned about the color and getting a horn! So we landed on the Red Viper and a HUGE horn (courtesy of Grandad)

Levi wasted no time learning to ride it. We spent majority of the weekend at the park learning how to break, steer and pedal!

It didn't take Levi long to master the pedals and his usual route around the big hill!

Grandad and Grannie Frannie come for a visit!

Grandad and Granny Frannie spent nine days w/ us & enjoyed every part of the boys routine, life in the Yellow Sub, as well as a bit of sightseeing!

 Grandad planted a tomato plant w/ Levi and he's been watering it daily!

Mama's Day 2012

The boys spoiled me with extra snuggle time in the morning, breakfast at our favorite Santa Monica spot, and a trip to the beach up North where we met up w/ Tasha, Oscar, Frankie, and Ava!

Felix spends a lot of time looking up at the sky for planes and now points up to the sky constantly almost as if he's demanding we make a plane fly overhead
