Michael and Sarah joined us in Mammoth, and
Hanky didn't leave their side

We discovered all sorts of new things in Mammoth... including the hot springs

Levi took his 1st digger onto his face... we all happen to see it happen; it felt like slow motion: he was running at warp-speed and tripped over his mama's foot, face-planting onto the gravel, with his whole body rocking up onto the side of his face. Poor Buggy!

The weather was beautiful all weekend, despite the snow storm that initially welcomed us (
btw, the mountain is open for skiing until July 4
th!)

We did several hikes, this longer one sans Levi

John and I felt spoiled by having the
Goodwin's to ourselves for a long weekend

The top of the hike...75 and not a cloud in the sky

Hanging out w/
Hanky (who spent most of the time diving in the snow patches and swimming)

Levi managed to eat several cartons of blueberries by himself throughout the weekend

He joined us for our leisurely Sunday hike around the lake

Levi may be a mama's boy, but his daddy isn't far behind. Levi spent most of the weekend reaching for him!

The hiking was beautiful, complete with Aspen trees (who knew Mammoth had anything other than Pines)

Snack and swim break

Levi insisted on getting in the fresh mountain water, despite it being ice cold

He finally decided it was to cold and let us put his sneakers back on

Near the end of our last hike, Levi was still all smiles. It was a much a needed weekend full of R&R with two of our most favorite people!
