Holmes Celebration

We loaded up the car and headed North to for a triple play w/ the Holmes and Lyons crew. The weekend kicked off in San Jose w/ Kevin's MBA graduation from Santa Clara!

But 1st, we indulged in a day by the hotel pool

Hard to believe that little Hazel bug is old enough to be pulling Levi around in the pool!

Mumsey & Levi, who is fearless in the water so we had to resort to a life vest

Levi with his big sister cousins Hazel & Sadie who he adores (the feeling is quite mutual)

We live 8 minutes from these lovely ladies & can't get enough of them

It wouldn't be a party w/ out our GGMA...92!

Hanging w/ the graduate at Santa Clara U.

Who knew tying a gown could be so complicated!

Cousin Jamie...who's getting married in Aug to the lovely Laura (exciting)

Cousins just make life so much more fun

The ONLY time Levi's ever fallen a sleep on me since surpassed 8 weeks in age (post World Cup and swimming)

World cup party in our hotel room w/ homemade USA signs courteousy of Hazel

Next up: Kevin and Jessica's engagement party....with ping pong (Hazel and Kemia)

The opponents...Colin & Levi

Logged in a few hrs at the park. Thank goodness for my little helper Sadie who doesn't let Levi out of her sight

Jessica's parents hosted the lovely affair complete w/ Mexican food and champagne (my kind of party)

Lastly, we drove to Merced and celebrated Jamie and Laura's engagement w/ Laura's shower

The girls

Capped off the weekend w/ more pool time at Auntie Nancy's 'Camp Merced'

It was the perfect way to end a truly family, fun filled weekend with some much needed R&R, homemade salsa, 90 degree weather and a pool.

An Action packed weekend w/ Billy!

Billy Gibbons joined us for a weekend and spoiled us w/ his professional BBQ skills

Levi was a bit shy at first, but still managed to groom Hanky (btw, he gets Hanks brush out on his own time and cleans him up)

We hung out at the Getty, taking in the sunshine and surroundings

Followed by a delicious homemade lunch thanks to JWG

Billy provided us with refreshing Champagne (w/ the help of Levi). It almost felt like we were back in Paris... Almost...

Levi continued to be inquisitive in anything and everything...

We took Billy to our local Farmers market, and this week they had a petting zoo!

and a balloon man, so Levi was in hog heaven

We finally hit the La Brea tar pits, which was fascinating and very cool

Levi was more interested in running up and down the hill w/ his daddy

One of the most admirable qualities about Billy is he can fix anything-- while JWG and he fixed our leaky shower, Levi bathed in the sink. I can't believe how much he looks like a little boy...where did my baby go???

A Love for Swimming

Levi couldn't get to the pool fast enough...

Sarah's Uncle finally took over as we simply couldn't keep up w/ Levi

After 2 hrs of swimming, we finally fished him out of the water

not without a little bribery of course...it was a lovely morning at Sarah's Aunt & Uncles in LA!

Memorial in Mammoth

Michael and Sarah joined us in Mammoth, and Hanky didn't leave their side

We discovered all sorts of new things in Mammoth... including the hot springs

Levi took his 1st digger onto his face... we all happen to see it happen; it felt like slow motion: he was running at warp-speed and tripped over his mama's foot, face-planting onto the gravel, with his whole body rocking up onto the side of his face. Poor Buggy!

The weather was beautiful all weekend, despite the snow storm that initially welcomed us (btw, the mountain is open for skiing until July 4th!)

We did several hikes, this longer one sans Levi

John and I felt spoiled by having the Goodwin's to ourselves for a long weekend

The top of the hike...75 and not a cloud in the sky

Hanging out w/ Hanky (who spent most of the time diving in the snow patches and swimming)

Levi managed to eat several cartons of blueberries by himself throughout the weekend

He joined us for our leisurely Sunday hike around the lake

Levi may be a mama's boy, but his daddy isn't far behind. Levi spent most of the weekend reaching for him!

The hiking was beautiful, complete with Aspen trees (who knew Mammoth had anything other than Pines)

Snack and swim break
Levi insisted on getting in the fresh mountain water, despite it being ice cold

He finally decided it was to cold and let us put his sneakers back on

Near the end of our last hike, Levi was still all smiles. It was a much a needed weekend full of R&R with two of our most favorite people!

A New Pair of Wheels!

John got a new bike this weekend and I'm not sure who benefited more? Levi or John!

3 Generations

A week of being spoiled by two loving grandparents is just what the doctor ordered!

Levi and Grandaddy Bob on their morning ritual walk Lake Sammamish Park

Levi was spoiled with a week full of homemade meals by Granmommy, trips to the park and even Gymboree!

Levi grew quite fond of his grandparents after spending a quality week together (he even learned how to turn off/on lights and velcro his shoes)

In the midst of it all, he even made it over to Bellevue to see his 92 year old GGMA who's 80 year old doll was a huge hit

Despite some May showers, Levi spent most of the week outside just being a boy!
