Austin Heat Wave

We headed down to Austin for the weekend, for John's step-brother's wedding. We roasted in 100+ weather, cheered a newly married couple, visited w/ our best friends, and hung out w/ family. It was lovely.

We spent lots of in-between time at the parks (especially in the am when it was only 85 degrees)

In the afternoon, we hit the fountains. Austin is so incredibly kid friendly...

We even hit the Children's Museum, which was walking distance from our hotel (exceptional planning on the bride's part!)

During the wedding, Sarah and Michael hung w/ baby Levi and spoiled him rotten with new toys, books and even showed him some new dance moves!

Levi has grown quite fond of Uncle Michael (and Sarah). According to them, he was perfect :)

We squeezed in as much visit time as possible w/ John's beautiful Grandma!

Proud step-father of the groom!

Lastly, but definitely not least, the spinster sisters w/ Grandma Anne! We LOVED Austin and totally get why people enjoy living there...it's just so hot!

D.I.Y Dog Wash

This weekend we discovered the do it yourself Doggy wash...and it's only 5 blocks away...Lucky for us and even more lucky is Hank!

Turns out it's a perfect activity w/ Levi...and the blow dryer was especially fun (btw, Levi's only 19 months old, but looks soooo big in this picture...)

Mammoth Red, White & Blue

After missing the last couple of 4th of July's, we headed to Mammoth to celebrate all weekend long in the hot, warm summer days.

We found a new playground (well new to us), and Levi attempted to summit the big slide, but quickly decided it was to wait.

As always, Levi managed to find another child's toy before they lost it (we did make him return it)

We hiked up to Skelton Lake, and Hanky did some swimming

joined by our friends Jack and Hilary from Seattle

We kicked off 4th of July with the Lions Club community pancake breakfast

(multiple) Slice(s) of heaven

Next up... the parade (Levi's 1st)

The highlight for me was the Bernese Mountain Dog breeders in Mammoth (over 9 dogs and a 2-month old puppy)

Levi stood most of the time clapping and attempting to catch candy, only to throw it back at the floats!

Still best of friends

We toured the Mammoth fire station (complete w/ firefighters)

Capped off the night w/ dinner at our friends Amy and Colin's place and spent time with baby Gia and her cousin Kylie

Levi loved the baby girls and the french bulldog Penelope (not shown) :)
